A new hope for mobile operating systems
This is an Operating System that does its best to keep your data private.
Background
I decided to take up this challenge of making an operating system that could respect privacy after realizing that iOS is built with proprietary code which you cannot tell what they're doing, meaning you have to trust Apple to keep their word.
While alternate Android operating systems like GrapheneOS do offer excellent privacy while showing their source code clear to see, they still rely on the Google owned AOSP and still require the Google Play store for some of the daily apps, like games and banking apps, and Graphene also sacrifices the ability of tap to pay to uphold the degoogling of its model.
How?
I'm making this os to function on its own device lineup with the device lineup being named "Slabs".
Inspiration
My inspiration for the name of the device line came from an old commercial for a toyline named "Alien Agency" alongside most modern phones being shaped like slabs
disclaimer
This os is not to be confused with the os of the name "FerretOS" which was designed as a terminal-based educational and experimental operating system. This operating system's goal is to provide privacy towards users and give them freedom to choose what will be done with their device.
